Diabetes in the Pediatric Population - Essay Example It provides the basis for research in the field of diabetes since it assists in making decisions concerning policy and medicine based on evidence (Afaf, 2007). The evidence is usually obtained after the identification of different factors of risk for diabetes and goals for the preventive medicines. The people working in the field of epidemiology are involved in designing various studies, collecting and analyzing statistical data along with the elucidation and dissemination of the results. The field uses reviews among peers and systematic reviews, which are occasional in these activities. Epidemiology involves the studies that investigate outbreaks, surveillances on diseases such as diabetes along with screening of medicine, bio monitoring and comparing the effects of treatment among children in different clinical assessments (Vandemark, 2007). The field of epidemiology relies on other scientific authorities like biology, biostatistics, exposure assessments and social sciences. The fi eld of biology is utilized for purposes of comprehending the disease known as diabetes in a better manner while biostatics helps the professionals to make appropriate use of the available data in reaching appropriate decisions. On the other hand, the field of social sciences is usually helpful in understanding and measuring proximate and distal factors of risk. Epidemiology is used in the modern world in covering descriptions, causes of diabetes and health conditions that are related to diabetes such as obesity and high blood pressure in juveniles (Delaune & Ladner, 2002). Steps and Methods of Epidemiology of Diabetes The field of epidemiology involves the execution of various steps that guide actions in the diabetes segment. Discuss the changing workforce (demographics) in American Businesses Essay

Discuss the changing workforce (demographics) in American Businesses - Essay Example As the US workforce is becoming increasingly diverse in race, gender, age, culture, family structures, religion, and educational backgrounds, the US business sector is trying its best to manage some transformations that regard their human capital. Although nearly three-fourths of the U.S. population is still classified as white, that’s changing fast. By 2050 whites will represent only 53 percent of the U.S. population. Hispanics will make up about 24 percent, African Americans 14 percent, Asian Americans 8 percent, and Native Americans 1 percent. Managing this changing mixture of ages, faces, values, and views poses a gargantuan challenge. A diverse workforce brings with it a wide range of skills, traditions, backgrounds, experiences, outlooks, and attitudes toward work that can affect individuals’ job performance. Moreover, a diverse workforce brings language and communication challenges (Bovee, Thill & Schatzman, 2003). 1. Influx of Immigrants – Immigrant, whether legal or illegal, now make up about 13 percent of the nation’s workers, the highest percentage since the 1930s. They dominate job categories at both ends of the economic spectrum. Many work in jobs that native-born Americans prefer not to do—such as meatpackers, hotel maids, hamburger flippers, waiters, gardeners, seamstresses, and construction workers. Others fill the U.S. demand for nurses, doctors, scientists, and teachers. The influx of immigrants to the United States is expected to continue and will help hold down wages in unskilled jobs in addition to providing companies with the numbers of employees they need to expand. 2. Aging Population – The population in the United States is aging, a situation that creates new challenges and concerns for employers and employees alike. About 84 percent of baby boomers participate in today’s labor market. Experts predict that because of inadequate pensions, high medical costs, and a general desire to

How effective is trade in promoting development you may wish to refer Essay

How effective is trade in promoting development you may wish to refer to the experience of ONE or TWO countries in your answer - Essay Example Every region has different specialty and comparative advantages in production of some tradable commodity, which also results in mass production. So trade at the market price gives benefits to both locations. The country export surplus goods and import sparse goods. The basic instances of money were object with intrinsic value known as commodity money. Currency is a standardized form of money which facilitates wider exchange of good and services. While international trade is the same exchange of goods and services across borders. It represents a significant part ofannual GDP in most countries. While international trade has been present throughout much of history and its always considered important for the development of the country in its economic, social, and political way because of industrialization, advanced transportation, globalisation, multinational corporations, andoutsourcing. (Stiglitz, 90) In fact, it is probably the increasing pervasiveness of international trade that is usually meant by the term "globalization". International trade is very essential for the development of the country. There are only few ways from which the Gross income of the country can be increased. The flow of different currencies is as important as producing anything. Trade is a key factor in economic development. Successful use of trade keys can boost a country's development. Trade markets have boomed up due to major contribution which has made the competition of "Survival of the Fittest & Fastest" in today's scenario (Evers and Schrader 76). There are many countries which are known because of their products and services trading. But every individual living in this world knows that China has been the vanquisher of the world's markets for many years. China is a global source for the commodities nowadays and is focusing to improve their international trade. There is tough competition in the market but still China is standing its ground and striving. It has proved that technology is ruling the world and industries are producing electronic goods on its peak. China had conquered the market of many types including electronic toys, utensils, plastics products and many more, all over the globe. In-spite of China staying into the international trade for quite a long time now, it has stood the examination of time and has survived in-spite of neck-to-neck competition in the market. TheFinancial Timesnoted that "China has been the world's largest economy for 18 of the past 20 centuries"1, While according toThe Economist, "China was not only the largest economy for much of recorded history, but until the 15th century, it also had the highest income per capita - and was the world's technological leader."2 As recently as 1820, China accounted for 33% of the world's GDP. Barely a hundred years later. By the early part of twentieth century, China accounted for only 9% of world's GDP. The primary explanation for the relative eclipse of China lies in the fact that the industrial revolution of the nineteenth century, which made Europe and then America rich, almost completely bypassed China3. Foreign tradewas small by international standards but was growing rapidly in size and importance, as it represented 20 percent ofGNPin 1985. Trade was controlled by

Political Science 120 Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words

Political Science 120 - Essay Example Firstly, the legislature exercises checks and balances on the executive by shutting down presidential vetoes through voting against them with a two-thirds majority. The legislature checks on the executive by either approving presidential appointments or new treaties. The legislature also has the power of impeaching a sitting president out of office by passing a vote of no confidence. On the other hand, the legislature checks on the judiciary by either approving or declining appointed judges, creating lower courts or impeaching a judge out of office. Secondly, the judiciary exercises checks on the legislative branch through declaring formulated laws as unconstitutional. On the other hand, the Judiciary, through the judicial review checks on the executive by declaring some deeds by the executive as unconstitutional. Thirdly, the executive exercises checks on the judiciary by nominating the persons to be appointed in the Supreme courts and the persons to be appointed in the federal cour ts. Additionally, the executive will check on the legislature by exercising a veto power against some legislations and recalling congressional sittings. The system of checks and balances had the objective of ensuring that no single branch of government becomes powerful that the other, which would lead to oppression of the citizens and a lack of justice. The system of checks and balances was put in the constitution with the intention of seeing to it that the rule of law prevails (Brannen & Lawrence, 2005). Question # 2 Cooperative Federalism Through Cooperative Federalism, the responsibility of governing people in a society is shared by the state and the national government. The different levels of government consult on which level is best suited on taking a particular responsibility in relation to governing and policy formulation. Cooperative federalism focuses on the idea that the overall governance of a nation is a partnership between the state and the national government. In esse nce, cooperative governance entails different levels of government exercising power in the same area (Hueglin & Fenna, 2006). Federalism works in a manner that the state governments are limited in terms of the powers that they can exercise in their states. This is contrary to the power that the national government can exercise. For instance, the state government cannot coin out currency, declare war, formulate immigration laws or raise an army. However, the national government has the power to coin out currency, declare war, formulate immigration laws and raise an army or a navy (Hueglin & Fenna, 2006). Cooperative federalism is different from dual federalism in that, in dual federalism the state and national governments are sovereign and equal partners. In dual federalism, a lot of power is directed to the states while the national government’s power is only spelt by the constitution. In cooperative federalism, the national government, through the constitution under article I in section 8 can exercise powers, which the state government cannot. The above fact was not possible under dual federalism (Hueglin & Fenna, 2006). Cooperative federalism came as a result of Congress’s intention of regulating trade and commerce in the whole of the United States. Another reason that led to cooperative federalism is the idea of eliminating the aspect of competition between the state governm

Evaluate Motivation Theories Essay Example for Free

Evaluate Motivation Theories Essay Individuals join and work in organizations to fulfill their needs. They are paying attention to organizations that have the means of sustaining their needs. These means are called incentives of rewards; organizations use them to encourage individuals to contribute their efforts toward achieving organizational goals. The continued existence of an organization depends on its ability to interest and encourage individuals to accomplish these organizational and personal goals. Newman (2010), â€Å"Motivation is defined as goal-directed behavior. It concerns the level of effort one exerts in pursuing a goal. Managers are concerned with this concept because it is closely related to employee satisfaction and job performance† (Para. The Concept of Motivation). There are 2 main concepts of theories Maslow’s and Herzberg. Maslow’s need hierarchy theory divides human needs into five levels; self-actualization, esteem, social, safety and physiological needs. Physiological needs are the basic human needs including food, clothing, shelter and other necessities of life. Once these are satisfied they no longer motivate the individual. Safety needs include economic security, protection from physical danger. Social needs are love, affection, emotional needs, warmth and friendship. Esteem can be self-esteem, self-respect, self-confidence and recognition. Herzberg found that the factors causing job satisfaction (and presumably motivation) were different from that causing job dissatisfaction. Herzberg called it hygiene factors, using the term â€Å"hygiene† in the sense that they are considered maintenance factors that are necessary to avoid dissatisfaction but that by themselves do not provide satisfaction. Company policy, supervision, relationship with boss, work conditions, salary and relationship are the leading in dissatisfaction. Achievement, recognition, work itself, responsibility, advancement and growth are the leading to satisfaction. The effectiveness of the application of these theories can be measured with observations of employee job satisfaction. Managers can evaluate satisfaction through employee surveys or by observing workers. References: Newman, M. (2010). Motivation. Retrieved from http://business.ezine9.com/motivation-149b57b275.html

The Slave Trade in Africa Essay Example for Free

The Slave Trade in Africa Essay Eric Williams thesis entitled Capitalism and slavery is not a study on the nature of the slave trade, but rather a study of the role of slavery in the English economy. In his thesis Williams proposes the idea that capitalism is a result of the Atlantic slave trade. Williams defines capitalism as when someone can use their resources to make a profit without that person actually being present. The Atlantic Slave Trade was then an example of capitalism. English investors gave funds to stock companies, such as the Dutch East Indian Company, who wound use those funds to purchase ships and trading goods. The stock companies would then hire a crew and send the ships to Africa where they would trade their goods for African Slaves. The ships would then transport the slaves to the Americas where they would sell their human cargo and purchase American goods. The ships could then return to England and sell their American goods for capital, then splitting the profit amongst the investors. In his thesis Williams asserts that these stock companies were the first examples of capitalism and that the capitalists systems which are present in the modern world are direct results of the Atlantic Slave Trade. It appears that Williams is correct in his thesis. While elements of capitalism, such as buying and selling of goods, were present prior to the slave trade, this was the first point in history when private investors combined their capital in the form of a company whose sole purpose was to increase that capital. At no point did the stock companies manufacture any new product instead these companies served only to buy and sell commodities in such a way as to increase the capital of their investors. Ancient Africa was characterized by strong states. Unlike Europe African states were well organized before the birth of Christ. However as European states became stronger African states weakened. These strong ancient African states such as, Egypt, Ethiopia, Kush and Benin, believed that the purpose of the state was to serve the people. This ideology made it possible for African states to become strong because since the state served the people the people were willing to participate in defending the state and submit to taxation in order to pro vide for the needs of the state which then benefited the individual. However African states began to weaken when the Arab came into Africa. In a quest to seek the destruction of Christianity in Europe the Arabs tore through the Maghreb (five north African countries). The Arabs not only took over the state, but also the culture, as a new Arab population settled, and pushed the original African population below the Sahara. The Arab presence in Africa soon led to a weakening of the African State. In 1350 the strong African state of Songhai began to have border disputes with the Arab led state Morroco. Songhai stated that the purpose of the African state was to serve the people to which Morroco replied that the purpose of the state was to serve Islam. Since the ruler of Morroco was a descendant of Mohammed that meant that it was Songhais responsibility to support the Morrocan state rather than the interests of its own people. Songhai was destroyed by Morroco in 1591, and after Songhais destruction any new states that emerged in this area put the interests of outsiders above the welfare of their own people. The area that had once been the strong empire of Songhai became the core of the slave trade in Africa. When Europeans came into Africa to trade they dealt with these weakened African states. They provided the states arms and the states allowed Europeans to enslave their citizens. African states allied with European nations at the expense of their own people; showing that the purpose of the African state had changed from serving its citizens to serving the interests of outsiders because the same sort of brutality used by Morroco in its destruction of Songhai was used by the Europeans in gunboat diplomacy. The African state would submit to foreign interests because it was no longer strong enough to fight back. African states could not compete against European technology so the rulers of these states signed agreements that allowed their people to be captured, enslaved and taken across the Atlantic. The weakening of the African state caused a change in the purpose of the State. The purpose of the state became providing for the needs and wants of foreigners; this is why the slave trade was possible in Africa. Not only did the African states allow its people to be enslaved, but the states participated in the enslavement of its own people in order to receive the benefits of trade with the Europeans.

Anti-money Laundering Systems in the UK

Anti-money Laundering Systems in the UK Introduction Money laundering is the term used to describe the process that disguises the (usually criminal) source of money.[1] The process of money laundering involves three recognisable stages. The first is the ‘placement’ stage when the proceeds of the crime, often in cash, are ‘placed’ into the financial system, for example, by being depositing in a bank. The second is the ‘layering’ stage whereby the proceeds are moved, usually through a series of transactions perhaps involving different entities, different assets, and different jurisdictions, in order to sever any audit trail and hence make tracing their origins harder. The third stage is ‘integration’ when the criminal resumes control of the proceeds, free from any link to their criminal source. An examination will be made of the statement that forms the subject matter of this essay. As an outline, this essay will contemplate the extent to which the United Kingdoms anti-money laundering regime seeks to address each stage of the process of money laundering. To conclude this essay will briefly reflect on the effectiveness of the UK regime. It must be emphasised that in an essay of this nature, large and complex topics will have to be reduced. The UK regime The Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 Banks and other financial institutions facilitate the three stages of money laundering and lend an air of respectability to the proceeds when they eventually reappear, therefore the financial and related sectors have always been positioned at the forefront of the drive to combat money laundering. The UK regime – which implements the EU Money Laundering Directives, FATF international standards and UN anti-terrorist financing measures, comprises three main components as far as banks are concerned. First, there is the primary legislation, the Terrorism Act 2000 (TACT) and the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 (POCA) which creates a number of ‘money laundering’ and related offences. The so-called relegated sector[2] is subject to additional offences to encourage its co-operation in reporting suspicious activities and transactions. Part 7 of POCA created three substantive money laundering offences, concealing[3], arrangements[4] and acquisition, use and possession[5]. The three offences are wide in a number of respects. First, the three principal money laundering offences must be related to ‘criminal property’[6] which is very broadly defined as any ‘benefit’[7] from any criminal conduct in any part of the UK or ‘would constitute an offence in a part of the UK if it occurred there[8]. The meaning of criminal property has been the subject of a number of Court of Appeal decisions, most recently R v Akhtar [2011] EWCA Crim 146, a mortgage broker who had allegedly submitted dishonest claims for and on behalf of his co-defendants, was not guilty of entering into or becoming concerned in money laundering arrangements. Clarke LJ submitted that the natural an ordinary meaning of s328(1) is that the arrangement to which it refers must be one which related to property at the time when the arrangement begins to operate on it[9]. Criminal property has the same meaning in respect of all three principal money laundering offences as set out in s340: â€Å"It does not embrace proper ty which the accused intends to acquire by criminal conduct†¦ Property is not criminal property because the wrongdoer intends that it should be†[10] Akhtar followed R v Loizou [2005] EWCA Crim. 1579, where the court ruled that no offence under s327 was made as the property was not criminal at the point of transfer. To say that it extends to property which was originally legitimate but became criminal only as a result of carrying out the arrangement is to â€Å"stretch the language of the Section beyond its proper limits†[11]. [analysis] [add facts of the case and relate to stages of ML) R. v Afolabi == re. s329 mention some of the facts Then conclude with test in Geary on part 7 and then further anaylsis on the extentof the act in stages of ML. Section 330 and 331 of POCA create two new offences of failing to make a ‘required disclosure as soon as practicable’ after suspicion of money laundering is or ought to have been aroused. The term ‘required’ qualifies the disclosure in order to emphasise that the failure to report is a criminal offence. Slaughter and May – unregulated sector The Terrorism Act 2000 and related provisions The Money Laundering Regulations 2007 The Money Laundering Regulations 2007[12] require ‘relevant persons’[13] to operate their business in accordance with specified systems and procedures designed to combat money laundering and the finance of terrorism. The potential criminal liability laid out by the Supplementary money laundering offences discussed above together wit the regulatory requirements under the 2007 Regulations has caused the financial sector to introduce wide-ranging processes and procedures to ensure that its officers and employees fulfil these disclosure[14] obligations and hence that they do not fall foul of the criminal sanctions. The Turkish Pogrom of 1955 and the Elimination of the Greek Minority of

The Reconstitution of Turkish Pogrom The chronology of the pogrom falls in a hard period, when the Cyprus issue had caused difficulties in the political relations of Greece, Turkey and England. It is considered that Hikmet Bill the owner of the Turkish journal Hurriyet and Ahmet Emin Yalmas the owner of Vatan received a large amount of money in order to create the political atmosphere of the pogrom from British sources. By July 1955, the Turkish press and some organizations such as The‘Cyprus is Turkish’, the National Federation of Turkish Students and the National Union of Turkish Students organized mass demonstrations against the Greek minority of Istanbul and the Ecumenical Patriarchate (Vryonis 2005). Nowadays, most Greeks and Turks are unaware of the fact that on the night of September 6, until the early hours of September 7, 1955 the Adnan Menderes’ government and the Turkish Intelligence Service carried out the most destructive pogrom in Europe since the well-known Krystallnacht on the eve o f the Second World War. In addition, they do not know that this pogrom damaged, and in many cases destroyed several houses, businesses, churches and institutions and that this had as a result, the elimination of the Greek minority, the oldest historical community of Turkey (Vryonis 2005). On the afternoon of September 6th 1955, a radio station in Ankara reported that a bomb exploded under mysterious circumstances in the courtyard of Kemal Atatà ¼rk’s house in Thessaloniki, causing minor damages. The reports did not produce any reaction at first. However, a few hours later the Turkish journal Istanbul Express circulated an extra edition. According to the newspaper, the birthplace of Kemal Atatà ¼rk in Thessaloniki had been bombed. ... ...were wilful violation of their religion (Vryonis 2005). In spite of this, the Greek minority of Istanbul was still possessed by an intense sense of insecurity, which has as a result, the flee of hundreds of families from their birthplaces to Greece, threatening to diminish the community as a whole. Additionally, apart from the Greek minority the Pogrom of 6-7 September delivered a severe blow to Turkish economy. Street markets in Istanbul, which were under the control of Greek merchants, covering the basic needs of the citizens of the most populous city of Turkey. Therefore, the partial destruction brought about the impoverishment to the greater part of the Turkish population, leading to significant shortages of basic goods and a rapid rise in prices. The painful condition of Turkish economy would play a significant role in the issue of payment of compensation.

Money and the Corruption of American Society :: Argumentative Persuasive Argument Essays

Money and the Corruption of American Society The American dream Sweet as a new millionaire The American dream Pre-packed, ready-to-wear The American dream Fat, like a chocolate eclair As you suck out the cream Luck by the tail How can you fail? And best of all, it's for sale The American dream - The Engineer (Miss Saigon) Money is very important in American society today.   Your status in America is greatly influenced by how much money you make.   We see the effects of money while reading the paper, wathshing the evening news, and in Micheal Moore’s movies.     As we see in all three of Micheal Moore’s films Roger & Me, Pets or Meat, and The Big One, money can affect a society in horrible ways.   The major corporations such as GM closed the doors in their plants and left 30,000 American’s without a job.   Only to move their plant to a far off country and pay people a fraction of the hourly wages to produce more profit than the billions they were originally making (Moore 1989). Even as Micheal goes to the CEO of Nike, Phil Knight, and talks about the conditions of his factories in Indonesia, nothing is done.   Phil is well aware of what happens in these factories and chooses to do nothing about it.   He is also well aware that Americans are without jobs but continues to build factories in other countries because his overall profit will increase (Moore 1997).   We also see a how money affects people in Katherine Newman’s â€Å"American Nightmares†.   In this reading we hear about a group of people called he downwardly mobile.   They are people who were once secure in their jobs and then for some reason they lose them. They begin to fall down the social ladder.   Because money is such an important factor in their lives,   once they begin to lose their money they begin to lose much more.   They start to lose friends and more importantly their self-dignity.   They are like the people we see in Moore's movies.   They lose everything and don’t have anywhere to turn.   In Peter Marin’s piece â€Å"Helping and Hating the Homeless†, he tells us that the homeless   â€Å"were people more or less like ourselves: members of the working or middle class†.   This is very ironic because we think of ourselves as much better than the homeless.   But money is truly the only difference between us.

Integration of psychology & theology Essay

The worldview of Christian counseling is that activity which delves into helping people grow constructively in all aspects of their lives through a caring relationship and it is done by counselor with Christian assumptions and values. Alister E. McGrath, in his book Christian Spirituality (1999) states that spirituality comes from Hebrew â€Å"ruach† which has a set of meanings from spirit, breath to wind. In counseling however it refers to the pursuit for an authentic and fulfilled life, that comprises; taking values of Christianity its beliefs and making them part of our life so that they provide the â€Å"spirit† , â€Å"breath† and â€Å"fire† for our lives . Epistemology refers to the study of source or origin of knowledge. In counseling this helps in knowing the nature of persons, their problems and realizing the appropriate ways of counseling them. Imago Dei simply means the image of God. This helps counseling to direct us toward the relationship us and God. We have the image of God and that is why we value others. Holistic counseling has something to do with mind body and spirit. In essence these are the salient components of a whole human being. Therapeutic relationship interacts with particular strategies to hinder or attain a client’s objectives. The relationship is significant to effective therapy. The personality, character, church background professionalism and setting for counseling are very crucial ethical standards for practicing as a Christian counselor. Our founding fathers wanted a government that would show the tyrants or absolute monarchs of europium that it was possible to coexist and live informal within decorous nicety. Even though they excluded any religion to be erupt of the government regulations, they employ Christianity to influence them and reinforced a strong foundation for the peeled type of government. We are not only killing, precisely as well the government contradicts itself because pot involve rights in which they are protected. The lives of every individual financial backing on American land should be safe, and if something were to happen to one of us, the government would act with all its power to find justice. nevertheless a mortals right to this is denied when they are put to be execute. No one should feature the right to steady down when a persons last day in this world should be. alone god can decide when that era should be.But, that does not mean a criminal should not be penalise for their action mechanism of crimes. By development the death penalty against an individual we are basically using an easy way out to the worry an escape. If an individual is found guilty thence they should do clip for their action of crime, but they do not realise to electrical relay it on punishing them by killing them. They should be punished by sentencing them to a wh ole demeanor sentence time of prison. In prison they are guaranteed of no prospective crimes and at the same time they are being punished for a animation time. In an bind in antideathpenaly.com they stated that executions cost more than life in prison. It cost $2 million per person. In an clause by Dudley Sharp, a death penalty resource director discusses the costs of death penalty and the cost of life without parole.Performing eye for eye entirely get to even in a better or more streamlined way is never the declaration. Criminals should be stray from society, making them work and pay for what they did. What is unfair regarding the death penalty is how at that place can be many innocent batch declared as guilty. In situations exchangeable these, innocent people should be big(p) time to upraise their innocence sort of of preventing them from being killed due to a mistake. Sentencing a criminal to prison for a life time gives time for further investigation to prove a persons innocence which was researched and said in an article of death penalty in deathpenalty.procon.org. move a person to death penalty the government could be killing individual innocent and only because they believe that person is guilty. The law states that every individual is incconent until proven guilty. However, the court does not everlastingly watch this law. In some cases people are not given time to prove his/her innocence. numerous countries have abolished the death penalty and since the United States has a strong erect for fairness in criminal justice we should join those nations. In our home state, Virginia, it is one of the many states that still believe that killing is the best solution when it comes to solving these kinds of problems. Virginia has executed a total of 94 people since 1976. The most crude methods used to perform justice are using liquid chambers, lethal injection, and electric chairs. This is how they find their way of solution to get a person s life over with. In 2000 Earl Washington was on death haggling in Virginia and was innocent but was not released after serving 16 old age of prison. Death penalty is one form of punishment that can never be reversed which makes this unjust. Even though we like to believe that racism does not exist, it still does.History records seem to show that unremarkably African Americans and other minority groups have higher rates when it comes to sentenced people. Death sentencing is not given in a fair manner. It is a very crucial constitution used against thousands of people. Homicide is illegal however, what is it when it is performed by the government? If punishing a murder by murdering him/her are we going to be punished as well? The U.S. government seems to have few flaws flaws that can be easy fixed. But what happens when it is excessively late? vindicated until proven guilty is a common thing within our laws and regulations. Death penalty has claimed the lives of many innocent fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, and so on. Many people in situations like these have been sentenced to death because everything seemed would accuse them.In an article by Adam Bedau, the author states that engine room and science proofed usage of peoples innocence. In most cases, people are not giving time to prove their innocence. When a person is killed there is no way back. When you carry out the mistake, it is too and nothing can be make to reverse it. Therefore, people should realize that dealings with a humans life something so precious and valuable, no engineering or currency can exchange it or manipulate. When violence is committed the pretend has the order to either punish a person with a lifetime of prison or sentence them to death penalty. Homicide is a power that no one should have on their hands. If someone acts against another person, there should be another way of solution discarding the act of death penalty. The death penalty is a huge argument in which many people will always have different opinions towards it. People should realize and acknowledge the fact that we are are equal under the eyes of the law and mistakes are always done. The unfairness, cruelty, and unethical behaviors of the death penalty should be taken under major consideration.
